Dr. Jane Brooks

Jane’s Story

Jane comes to chiropractic from a background in classical music, education and child psychology where she focussed on the early education of children with learning difficulties.

Jane graduated from Macquarie University with a Masters in Chiropractic Science and has since undertaken over 5 years of post graduate study in paediatrics, receiving her certification from the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics and has completed a Diplomate in Paediatric Neurodevelopment through the College of Chiropractic Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics. She has also studied Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine, Massage and Sports Therapies as well as Chiropractic Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute. Jane has also completed studies in the United States in Animal Chiropractic with a focus on horses and dogs is a member of the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Never one to rest on her laurels Jane has just commenced studies in Equine nutrition to further her skills when working with her furry clients.
 

In addition to her work at Health Matters Jane taught Pathology, Differential Diagnosis and Paediatrics at Macquarie University for a number of years. She is also an instructor for Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) and is responsible for teaching health professionals all over Australia this amazing technique.

Jane is certified in Applied Kinesiology (AK), Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), Neurological Integration Systems (NIS) and the Webster Technique and also practices using Total Body Modification (TBM), Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), Activator Methods and Quantum Neurology as well as Animal Chiropractic.

Jane is passionate about helping people achieve optimal health and well-being in a lasting and sustainable manner.

​

When she's not busy at Health Matters Jane can be found training dogs, playing tennis or spending time with her horses, bees, sheep, goats and other various farm animals. She is a breeder of Brahma chickens and guinea fowl and often supplies clients with fresh eggs from her flock of organic, free range raised hens. Jane is also an avid skier and spends many hours dreaming about her next visit to the cold, white, fluffy stuff.
