About Elissa
Elissa Shirvington is a highly skilled psychologist with over 20 years' experience supporting adults aged 18+ in managing stress, distress, and enhancing overall mental, emotional, and psychological well-being. With a Master of Science degree from the University of London, she combines academic knowledge with a warm, personal approach to care.
Her work is grounded in evidence-based methods, particularly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and a growth/prevention focused philosophy. Elissa believes in empowering individuals to strengthen their mental health proactively, equipping them with the tools to manage challenges before they escalate.
Driven by a passion for lifelong learning and the belief that knowledge should be shared, she fosters an environment where clients feel heard, supported and able to create sustainable, positive change in their lives. Elissa has a special interest in self-worth and self-acceptance using a schema therapy approach.
Beyond her professional practice, Elissa values family life, switching off by staying present in and around nature wherever possible! She values precious space for reflection (a morning coffee with the early birds!) to create more purposeful action and is naturally drawn towards lifelong personal development and growth.
