Cranial Care

Cranial care is a complementary and alternative therapy that focuses on the gentle manipulation of the head and its connections to the rest of the body. It's based on the belief that subtle movements of the bones in the head (skull) and the spine play a vital role in maintaining overall health.

In a session, a cranial therapist, who is a trained healthcare professional, uses their hands to apply very light pressure and subtle movements to the head, face, and neck. They aim to detect and correct any imbalances, restrictions, or tensions in the cranial bones and the surrounding tissues. This therapy is rooted in the concept that these adjustments can restore proper alignment, improve the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (a fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord), and promote the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Cranial therapy is often sought to treat a variety of health issues, including headaches, neck and back pain, stress, and even problems like colic in infants. Some proponents also claim it can help with conditions affecting other parts of the body, such as digestion or sleep disturbances.
